Specimen SS98

This is a spectacular display fossil. It is a huge Perisphinctes ammonite from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This ammonite has been cut in half and both halves have been highly polished for optimal display. The coiling pattern of the cepahlopod is easily seen, and the individual chambers of the ammonite are wonderfully showcased. MANY of the chambers are hollow and lined with beautiful calcite crystals, like miniature geodes. And the ammonite is fully complete, down to its tiniest inner whorls. The enormous size of the specimen, combined with its exquisite quality and striking, natural coloration, makes for a gorgeous exhibit. This is an eye-popping display fossil, perfect for any fossil collection or one's home or office.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
