This is an excellent display fossil. It is a block of fossiliferous matrix from the Lee Creek Mine in Aurora, North Carolina. Many shark teeth have been embedded in this matrix block for optimal display - Megalodon teeth, Mako teeth, a Hemipristus tooth - eleven shark teeth in all! There is also an Ecphora and other unusual fossils attached to the rock. This is an extremely displayable chunk of the Yorktown Formation with many Aurora shark teeth represented.
