This is a very nice gastropod. It is a Campanile symbolicum from the Pliocene of Australia. This fossil snail has been removed from the surrounding matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. The high-spired gastropod is extremely 3-dimensional and exhibits very good detail. The whorling pattern is easily seen, and the fine ornamentation is clearly defined. This is an excellent specimen of this Cenezoic gastropod.
