Extremely Detailed Drotops with Imacculate Eyes

Name: Drotops megalomanicus
Age:  Devonian
Formation:  AM Limestone
Location:  Morocco
Size: Trilobite is 4.5 inches long
Price: SOLD

Specimen SS185

This is a pristine trilobite fossil. It is a fabulous Drotops megalomanicus from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. This outstretched trilobite is extremely 3-dimensional and exhibits extraordinary detail. The thick-shelled exoskeleton is covered with hundreds of coarse pustules, and the individual lenses of the large compound eyes are just magnificent. The well articulated bug has gorgeous color and contrast and is beautifully displayed on the large, sculpted plate of dense limestone. Every trilobite collector should have a Drotops of this quality in their collection - unfortunately, there just aren't enough good ones to go around.
