This is a nice fossil shark tooth. It is a Carcharocles megalodon tooth from Maryland. Megalodon teeth from Maryland are very scarce. This specimen was acquired from a major shark tooth collection. The tooth has great natural color. The serrations are razor-sharp, and the root is excellent. The tip is a little worn, but it doesn't detract from the overall look of the tooth. This is a fine fossil shark tooth from an extinct White Shark.
