Specimen SSX07

This is simply an incredible multiple trilobite plate. It is a plate of 33(!) Undescribed Trilobites from the Ordovician of Morocco. This specimen was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. There are 32 examples of this uncommon Asaphid trilobite on the slab - and one type of trilobite we have never even seen before, right in the middle of the plate! The trilobites are wonderfully articulated and exhibit excellent detail. The fossils are also extremely inflated and 3-D. The dark red-brown color of the trilobites contrasts superbly with the light-colored matrix. The bugs are beautifully showcased on the sculpted plate of limestone. And best of all, this slab is not composited - all of the trilobites are natural to the plate! This is an extremely large ''death assemblage'' plate of unusual Asaphids from Morocco - a museum-quality example of trilobite mass mortality.
