Every once in a while, we get a fossil so impressive, we really hate to part with it - this is one of those specimens. It is a complete Psittacosaurus skeleton from the Cretaceous dinosaur beds of Liaoning Province, China. This specimen has been nicely composited and the bones skillfully articulated for optimal display. The skeleton has about 50% original bone, with the rest of the bones professionally reconstructed - most dinosaurs in museums are 50% original or less. This critter displays in a crawling pose, with the tail wrapped around to the side - very compact, easy to put into a small display area. The head is fully attached, although the shadowing makes it look like the head is separated. This is a very impressive dinosaur fossil - a showcase specimen. It could easily be the centerpiece of any fossil collection.
