This is an excellent trace fossil from the Green River Formation of Utah. It is a long trackway from an Eocene bird. There are seven tracks meandering across the large plate of shale. These tracks were possibly made by a sandpiper-type bird walking along the ancient shoreline. The tracks are quite distinct and beautifully displayed on the matrix. This is a wonderful specimen of fossil bird tracks from Utah.
