This is a nice eurypterid fossil. It is a large Eurypterus remipes from New York. This specimen is missing the tail section, but it is very detailed. Most of the fine walking arms are present, which is uncommon. Both paddles are intact, although most of the right one is missing. The eurypterid has good contrast against the light-grey matrix. There are no cracks/breaks in the matrix plate, and there is no restoration to the specimen. This is a detailed example of this collectible Merostomata fossil.
