The undulate margins are nicely defined and the tiny tip of the leaf is intact. The short petiole is complete and attached to the leaf. The fossil has great color and superb contrast. It is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular block of matrix. This is a very fine specimen of Allophylus from the Eocene of Utah.
