Here is a very good fossil leaf from an unusual location. This leaf is from the Eocene of Tennessee. We recently acquired this leaf from an old collection. Years ago, these leaves were found in the clay deposits of a brickyard in Tennessee. The leaf exhibits fine detail. The venation of the fossil leaf is very good and the sharply pointed tip of the leaf is present. The fossil has excellent color and contrast. It is well positioned on the somewhat rectangular block of matrix. This is a nice fossil leaf from an old collection.
