This is a fine specimen of Leguminosites lesquereuxiana from the Green River Formation of Utah. The leaf displays the emarginate apex that is typical of this species. The undulate margins are nicely displayed. This particular species usually has very indistinct venation. The venation of this specimen is easily seen. The specimen exhibits a short petiole atached to the leaf. The fossil has good color and contrast. It is well centered on the natural plate of shale. This is a very nice specimen of a legume leaf from the Eocene.
