This is a free-floating crinoid from the world-famous Solnhofen Limestone of Germany. This stemless, comatulid crinoid has been darkened to make for a better display. The crinoid exhibits the small cup and nine sinuous, pinnulated arms. The fossil is well centered on the beautiful, natural plate of lithographic limestone. This is a very pretty specimen of an unusual floating crinoid.
