This is a fossil insect from an unusual location. It is a leafhopper from the Eocene of British Columbia. The fossil has nice detail. The venation of the wings is evident. The insect displays some color pattern. The leafhopper is nicely positioned on the natural slab of matrix. This insect looks better under magnification than it does in the photo. It is a good fossil leafhopper from an unusual location.
