This is a nice tooth from an American Mastodon. It is a molar from Mammut americanum, found in the Ice Age River Deposits of Florida. This tooth shows great wear - it was worn down by many years of use. The enamel is well preserved and has nice, natural coloration. The tooth sits on a wooden stand designed specifically for this tooth. This is a very displayable Mastadon tooth that would look impressive in a fossil collection or on a shelf in someone's home or office.
