This is a gorgeous specimen of a very rare leaf from the Green River Shale. This unusual leaf is Triumfetta ovata. The leaf has fine detail. The venation of the leaf is quite evident. The leaf exhibits entire margins and an acuminate apex. The leaf retains the short petiole. The fossil has fantastic color and superb contrast. The Triumfetta is well centered on the matrix plate. This is a super specimen of a rare leaf from the Eocene.
