This is a new find from the area in China that produced the feathered dinosaurs. It is a complete Hyphalosaurus from Laioning Province, China. This dinosaur-like reptile is similar to both a Keichousaur and a Mesosaur. This type has a semi-ovate head, whereas a Keichousaur has a more triangular head, and a Mesosaur has a very elongated head. This specimen has all four limbs preserved, which is unusual. All of the legs even have some digits and claws intact, which is even rarer! The neck, body, and tail are all very well articulated (see close-up photo). The reptile displays well on the large 4" X 7" matrix plate. The fossil comes in a silk-covered, velvet-lined display box. This is a very collectible vertebrate fossil from the same area where the feathered dinosaurs were discovered.
