This is a very pretty tooth. It is a Carcharocles megalodon shark tooth from Maryland. Megalodon teeth from Maryland are very scarce. This specimen came from a collection, and was found over 10 years ago. The tooth has great natural color. The serrations are excellent, and the root is nice. The tip is missing, but it doesn't detract from the look of the tooth. This is a beautiful fossil shark tooth from an extinct White Shark.
