Here is a comatulid crinoid from the world-famous Solnhofen Limestone of Germany. This stemless, free-floating crinoid has been darkened to make for a better display. The crinoid exhibits the small cup and ten sinuous, pinnulated arms. The fossil is well centered on the natural plate of lithographic limestone. This is a very displayable specimen of an unusual floating crinoid.
