This is a large cave bear jaw from the Pleistocene of Russia. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain as the cave deposits have been heavily collected. This jaw contains six teeth. One of the front incisors is even present. This jaw is from an older individual. The teeth show extensive wear. The molars are almost ground flat. This is a nice jaw from a mature Pleistocene cave bear.
