Several years ago, a small pocket of crinoids was found in Missouri that was almost equivalent to the same species found in Crawfordsville, Indiana. This is one of those specimens. It is a Barycrinus sp. from the Warsaw Formation of Missouri. This crinoid is very robust and well articulated. The ''knobby'' plates of the large cup are well displayed, and the stout arms, with ramules, are easily seen. An extremely long stem is still present. The crinoid has good color and contrast and is well positioned on the somewhat rounded plate that is chock full of bryozoans. This is a very interesting specimen of a Barycrinus from a very unusual site.
