Here is a nice shark tooth from the famous Lee Creek Mine. It is a Carcharocles megalodon shark tooth from North Carolina. Megalodon teeth from North Carolina are very scarce, since fossil collecting was halted several years ago. This tooth is quite wide - the root is very solid and substantial. Although the very tip of the tooth is missing, the razor-sharp serrations are intact and beautifully displayed. This is a very pretty extinct giant white shark tooth from the Pliocene.
