This is a very large fossil shark tooth. It is a Carcharocles megalodon from Chile. This specimen is 5.4 inches long and 4 inches wide - simply a huge shark tooth. The serrations and very tip are worn, but there are no major flaws to the tooth whatsoever. The thick enamel is almost fully intact on both sides of the tooth. The root is in great shape and is very robust and 3-D. And the front side of the tooth (not pictured) also displays beautifully. This is a very large, colorful Megalodon tooth from this exotic location.
