This is a very large Alligator mississippiensis tooth from the Pleistocene of Florida. This extremely robust tooth has a LONG section of the root still intact. The corrugated enamel of the tooth has excellent color, and the very tip of the tooth shows only a minute amount of wear. This is an excellent example of a tooth from this Ice Age creature.
