This is a VERY collectible fossil. It is a fossil whale bone (rib) with obvious shark bites. This rib was probably chomped on by the extinct Giant White Shark, Carcharocles megalodon. The ''Meg'' was the largest shark that ever lived, growing to over 60 feet long. This beast could easily shred a whale in no time.

The rib has distinct cut marks from the feeding shark. The back side of the bone also has a few cuts, but they are not as prominent as the front. This is one of the few documented examples of actual predation by a shark in the fossil record. This is a rare fossil with an ancient story associated with it.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
