Here is a great fossil. This is a juvenile Keichousaurus hui from the Triassic of China. Juvenile specimens of this dinosaur-like reptile are extremely uncommon - and an example this fine is very hard to find. The reptile exhibits extraordinary detail. The skull, long neck, body, and tail are all quite evident. Many tiny teeth are well exposed. The tiny, tiny tip of the tail is present. The ribs of this reptile are easily seen. Even the tiny digits of the limbs are preserved. The fossil has excellent color and contrast and is well positioned on the rectangular plate of matrix. This is a gorgeous specimen of a juvenile Keichousaur from China.
