This is a very rare dinosaur tooth. It is a pre-maxillary tooth from a juvenile Gorgosaurus (formerly Albertosaurus) libratus. Gorgosaurus was a large carniverous dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous. This highly unusual tooth was found in the Judith River Formation of Montana. The tooth has excellent enamel, and the serrations are easily seen. A well-defined, natural wear facet is beautifully displayed near the tip of the tooth. The tooth has NO REPAIR OR RESTORATION, whatsoever. The dark brown color of the tooth is quite striking. The tooth comes in its own clear display case, viewable from both sides. This is a wonderful specimen of a juvenile Tyrannosaurid dinosaur tooth.
