This is a very rare blastoid from the Upper Burlington Formation of Missouri. This is a large example of Metablastus lineatus. This unusual blastoid has a long pelvis and a short vault. The blastoid has great white color and contrasts nicely with the orangish-brown matrix. The fossil is well centered on the semi-rectangular piece of matrix. This is a good example of a rare blastoid from the Burlington Formation.
