This is a beautiful fossil fish. This is a Pricacara serrata from the Eocene of Wyoming. This "sunfish-like" fish exhibits exquisite detail. The fins are wonderfully preserved. The eye socket is easily seen. The bone structure is quite evident. The brownish-orange fish contrasts nicely with the cream-colored matrix. This gorgeous fish is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a very pretty Priscacara serrata from the Green River Formation.
