This is a strangely postured specimen of Keichousaurus hui from the Triassic of China. The fossil shows very fine detail. The small skull, extremely long neck, body, and most of the tail are present. The very tiny digits are nicely displayed on most of the feet. This specimen is unusual in that the long neck is completely twisted around in a circle. It appears almost like the reptile strangled itself! The specimen is well centered on a rectangular plate of matrix. The reptile has good color and contrast. There is absolutely no restoration or reconstruction on this fossil. This is a very fine specimen of this dinosaur-like reptile.
