Here is an unusual find. This is a crocodile tooth from the Eocene of Wyoming. The tooth is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The enamel of the tooth is beautifully preserved and the pointed tip of the tooth is intact. The dark brown tooth contrasts wonderfully with the cream-colored matrix. The fossil is well centered on the plate of shale. This is a very attractive specimen of an uncommon crocodile tooth from the Green River Formation.
