This is an excellent fossil fish. It is a Phareodus testis from Wyoming. This specimen is a large example of this unusual type. It has great color and detail. The large teeth are easily seen sticking out of the mouth. The fish is nicely centered on the matrix plate. And the scale pattern is even preserved! This is a textbook example of this collectible fossil fish (display stand is included for free.)
