This is a nice specimen of Lygodium kaulfussii, a climbing fern, from the Eocene. The living representatives of Lygodium are true climbers. This is a large, uniquely lobed fossil leaf. The palmate venation of the specimen is quite distinct. The specimen has good color and contrast. The leaf is well centered on the semi-rectangular plate of matrix. This is a fine specimen of this unique plant.
