This is a great specimen of an unusual fish from the Solnhofen Limestone of Germany. This fish has wonderful color and contrast and lays in the center of a large natural slab of limestone. The fish has excellent detail, from the tip of the tail to the end of the needle nose. This fish was part of a MAJOR German Solnhofen collection for a number of years. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a classic Solnhofen specimen of museum quality.
