This is a nice specimen of Mimosites coloradensis from the Green River Shale. Mimosites leaves are not uncommon from this site. However, leaves that are attached to a branch are quite rare. This specimen has eight individual leaves attached to a single branch. The venation of the sickle-shaped leaves is evident. The entire margins of the leaves are nicely displayed. This is a very interesting specimen of Mimosites from the Eocene of Utah.
