This is an unusual type of fossil fish. It is an Amphiplaga bracyptera from Wyoming. This specimen is large for this type and displays well. The color and details are very nice. The fish is has its mouth open, and it is nicely centered on the squared matrix plate. This is a fine example of this uncommon U.S. fish.
