Here is an exciting plate of fossil leaves from the Miocene of Germany. There are two different leaves on the plate. The huge leaf(almost 6.5 inches long including petiole) is Populus sp., a poplar. The smaller leaf is Ulmus sp., an elm. Both leaves have excellent color and contrast and are well positioned on the large plate of matrix. This is a great specimen of two different fossil leaves from an unusual location.
